Before diving into this review, I want to mention that I know the author, Kiara Blanchette. She’s a wonderful Montrealer (and honorary New Yorker!) whom I first met years ago at one of the poetry nights she hosted. That said, my appreciation for this book is entirely genuine—I would have loved it even if it had been written by a stranger.
My reading journal is now brimming with quotes that deeply resonated with me; I was completely engrossed in the book. I had the good fortune of reading it by the ocean in Greece, and I found myself repeatedly pulling out my journal to jot down my thoughts—no easy feat with all that water around!
As the title suggests, the book’s Pisces energy will keep you immersed in your emotions throughout. With autumn just around the corner, I highly recommend you pick up this book!
